German Flintlock Pistol with 3 Revolving Barrels, Augsburg 1775, Brass, Replica
Decoration pistol with articulated mechanism
Beautiful replica of a German three-barreled flintlock pistol from the 18th century (Augsburg 1775). Unlike most pistols of the time, which usually required manual reloading after each shot, the 3-barreled pistol could be fired three times without reloading, thus giving its wielder a decisive advantage in the fray.
This magnificent muzzleloader replica is a true eye-catcher that is sure to turn heads and will make any firearm or pirate enthusiast’s heart skip a beat. The handle scales made of resin in ivory look are adorned with elaborate floral and plant motifs, and the butt is shaped as an eagle’s head. Except for the hammer, the trigger and the three so-called frizzens, all metal fittings have an antiqued brass finish. The barrels have a slight bronze hue. Each barrel, as well as the lock plate, are decorated with delicate tendril-like engravings.
Our firearm replicas are solely intended for re-enactment and decorative purposes. Although the mechanism is fully articulated and the barrels can be rotated just like with the original, this reproduction is not capable of firing.
A beautiful item for every collection and an indispensable accessory for re-enactors.
