The street is a hard place to conduct business, but it’s a way of life you’ve become very good at keeping. Unfortunately, a poor ol’ sap hasn’t paid his dues. You’re an understanding sort, but you can’t risk looking soft. Not on the street.

So, you decide to give the ol’ sap a visit. Adjusting your grip on your Barmace and preparing your most intimidating look, you don’t expect this meeting to last very long. You’ll get your money today or the chap will be missing a few teeth. You’ll let him decide.

DETAILS

Epic Armoury’s Barmace is a rough-looking bludgeoning weapon with four long flanges.

Barmace is 69 cm long from point to pommel, with four 55 cm reinforced flanges running from the tip of the weapon to the crossguard. and it is finished with a rough, steel-coloured latex coating to give it an impression of a weapon capable of crushing heavy armour while in the hands of a seasoned footman, or to serve as the essential accessory in a highway robbery.

The round split-leather wrapped handle is 15 cm long and framed by a small crossguard and a flat ringed pommel.

Style is great for rough and ready warriors who rely on experience and plain power, or for the Orc who needs a ferocious-looking mace. Made from durable closed cell foam around a solid fibreglass core and finished with a strong latex coating, you can feel confident that your LARP weapon will provide the safety and appeal you want when crafting your battlefield kit.

• Similar bar mace was found in an excavation of the Thames River from around 1300 A.D.
• Flange and weight would have been designed to penetrate armour
• Maces were first designed to cause harm without penetrating armour due to the force of their blows
