Though the King’s Guard usually protected the king in the throne room and beyond, a detachment was sometimes sent to reinforce the battle line. Kurt’s command was one of these detachments. He could smell the enemy from here. A sickly rotten smell, like a deer carcass on a hot summer day, mixed with the smell of steel. He looked sternly at his men as they were lining up for battle and shouted, “Stand to!!” Hearing his words, the men closed the ranks and held their weapons. “Advance! For king and country!”

Epic Armoury’s Long Imperial Halberd is a 220 cm long halberd, such as those used in the late Middle Ages. It has a spearhead for taking on cavalry, an axe blade for slashing at enemy footsolders and taking out cavalry that’d been dismounted, and a spike for removing shields and disarming opponents. It is made with a fibreglass core, around which there is a durable closed-cell foam, finished off with a strong latex coating. This ensures the safety, durability and appearance of your weapon. The Halberd comes in two parts that connect via a threaded bolt system, and you can use the upper part as a shorter weapon. If you do, make sure you cover the bolt before use.
