Scout Gauntlets

Epic Armoury’s Scout Gauntlets are a set of mild steel gloves designed to protect the wrist, back of the hand and forearm in combat without sacrificing all maneuverability. Each gauntlet consists of three overlapping plates, secured together using a sturdy, but flexible strap of leather. The 10 cm wide hand plate and short vambrace are made from 1mm steel, forged to fit comfortably over the first knuckles and around the curve of the arm. The vambrace is 11 cm wide at the wrist, and increases to 20 cm around the forearm. The top 11 cm wide plate is made of thicker 1.5mm steel, shaped so that it won’t rub uncomfortably against your rotating wrists.

These Scout Gauntlets fit comfortably over your own leather gloves, secured with a leather band around the palm, thumb, and wrist. Made from polished mild steel with rolled edges, these demi gauntlets are practical and affordable. With its low-fantasy and neutral appearance, these Scout Gauntlets are easily paired with other Epic Armoury metal works.
