Soldier Torso

Epic Armoury’s Soldier Torso is a handmade cuirass and backplate, designed to protect the front and back of the torso and abdomen. This low-fantasy design is meant to fit an assortment of characters, and is inspired by historical medieval armor. It’s simple form comes in a range of sizes, and can easily be used by most people thanks to its curve and ability to overlap beneath the arms. The plate rests at the hips and has small rolled flanges around its edges.

Secure the Soldiers Torso by attaching the breastplate and backplate together over the chest. Six leather straps are riveted to the backplate, and are adjusted using the buckles attached to the breastplate. Tighten and adjust to your size, ideally over a padded gambeson for the most comfort. Made of polished 1 mm thick steel and chrome leather straps, this armor is built to withstand the abuse of a LARP or reenactment with regular leather and metal armor care.
